美国纽约州立大学石溪分校刘会东博士来我院做学术报告2

2017年1月10日下午3点半，应计算机学院和校智能信息处理研究所邀请，美国纽约州立大学石溪分校刘会东博士在仙林校区S2楼109室做学术报告。刘会东博士的报告题为“Deep Neural Networks: Applications and Theory”。报告会由计算机学院副院长杨明教授主持，我院部分教师和学生聆听了整场报告。

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Computational Conformal Geometry.
    在报告中，刘博士首先介绍了卷积神经网络在图像分析中的一些里程碑的工作，如：AlexNet，VGGNet和ResNet。然后3D卷积神经网络和长短期记忆网络（LSTM）在视频分类中的应用。最后介绍了深度神经网络优化理论方面的最新研究结果。
刘博士的报告内容丰富、深入浅出，拓展了大家的视野，也为老师同学们的研究思路提供了很多启示，活动结束后刘博士和同学们进行了热烈的交流，大家收获颇丰。
